Matt and I went to elementary and middle school together but did not meet until high school. We began dating after Matt asked Alix to help him “study” for a French test at the end of freshman year. We spent that whole summer together in 2008 and dated throughout high school. We dated through college as well and moved in together shortly after graduation. A year later we moved to Arkansas for work and Matt proposed that year while on vacation in the Outer Banks of NC. We now reside in Conshohocken, PA and can't wait to start the next chapter as a married couple.

Matt and I were living in Arkansas at the time and we were headed to Corolla, NC for a vacation with Matt’s family over the 4th of July. When we arrived, I was told that we were going to a “fancy” dinner on the water. Before we left for dinner, Matt and I went for a walk along the beach. Just as we got back to the walkway that takes you from the beach to the house, Matt proposed. Soon thereafter I was surprised by my family running down the beach to celebrate the moment with me. I could not have been more surprised, a truly magical moment.
