Even though we’d technically known each other our whole lives, our paths didn’t truly cross until adulthood. As kids, we were never in school at the same time, and as adults, life took us in different directions. Years later, after both moving back to the area, we kept finding ourselves in the same places....at bars, parties, and hockey games...until Cole finally asked Alix to grab a beer. From that first date, we were hooked. We’ve been together since March 2023 and now share a home filled with laughter, love, and our dog, Misha. In 2025, during a family trip to West Virginia, Cole proposed while we sat together at an overlook along the Appalachian Trail. With a plastic water bottle ring and the mountains as our backdrop, Alix said yes and the rest is history.
