Where should we stay?

Answer

The bedrooms at the Carr Mansion have been reserved for our wedding party and parents. Fortunately, there are plenty of hotels close by that are absolutely lovely and range quite a bit in price points. We recommend the Grand Galvez (a 4 minute drive) and across the street from the beach.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

The Carr Mansion is a cozy venue and therefore we have tried to limit the overall headcount. If we have included 'guest' on your invitation, please bring a date and let us know their name. If we have not, we apologize but ask you to not bring uninvited guests.

Are children welcome?

Answer

Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate anyone under the age of 21 according to our wedding venue contract. We apologize for this inconvenience!

I have a food allergy, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes, please. Our caterer is accommodating and more than likely we can find a workaround for any food allergies during the meal.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

There is not designated parking or valet. Street parking outside the Carr Mansion is available, but limited. We encourage you to park at your hotel and carpool or Uber to the venue.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Cocktail attire is preferred. This means cocktail dresses, little black dresses, dressy jumpsuits, suits, sport coats, blazers, and slacks.

Confused by seafood vs non-seafood?

Answer

Our primary menu features a few seafood based options. However, we understand not everyone enjoys the undersea offerings. Simply put, if you want to skip the seafood, select the non-seafood option on the RSVP and we promise no fish will be harmed in the making of your meal.

Where are the cats?

Answer

As many of our fuzzy children are either very spicy or shy, they have elected to stay home. Granted, if given the opportunity, at least two would have shown up, donned a trench coat, and tried to take hats at the front door. They are sorry you missed out on their presence.
