We're Getting Married!

Their story began in 2012 when Justin first reached out to Alivia via Facebook Messenger. While they exchanged a few messages, nothing more came of it, and they each went their separate ways. Fast forward to college in 2018, when two friend groups—one from NIU and the other from ISU—came together, and they found themselves spending more time in the same circle. As they continued to hang out, their friends couldn’t help but tease them, saying, “You two are perfect for each other!” Of course, they both brushed it off and continued to enjoy their friendship without giving it much thought. After countless hangouts and memories made, on August 9th, 2019, Justin surprised Alivia with a single rose and asked her to be his girlfriend. It was a simple yet unforgettable moment that marked the beginning of their journey together. Five years later, in the very same spot where Justin first asked Alivia to be his girlfriend, he surprised her once again but this time with a proposal to spend forever together. And, of course, she said yes. The rest, as they say, is history.
