One of the most beautiful drives in New England, especially during fall foliage season, the Smugglers' Notch Scenic Highway winds through forests, towering rock formations, and the shoulder of Mount Mansfield (Vermont's highest peak). Even though it's only a few miles long, it's worth taking your time and stopping to explore the scenic overlooks and hiking trails along the way. Location: The address will take you to Route 108, the main road through Smugglers' Notch. Keep in mind that this is not a loop, so once you've driven through the notch, you'll need to turn around and drive back the way you came.
