Maid of Honor
Savannah was my college roommate when we attended North Carolina State University. We became best friends instantly and I have never met someone so similar to myself so I feel like I’ve known her all my life. I’m beyond honored to have her as my Maid of Honor. Some of my favorite memories of us will always be our dedication to the NC State football team, our late night "table talks", and of course the midnight trips to get chocolate cake. Fun fact: we never missed a home football game and we made it onto the Instagram page!
Best Man
I met Austin when we were Juniors in high school. We hit it off pretty quickly once we figured out we both liked working on trucks and hunting. Austin has always been like the brother I never had. Our bond grew even stronger once we gained access to "Adult Money" and started buying tractors and trucks we didn't need. After high school, we started doing a guys night every Tuesday at Austin’s house. Six years later, Tuesday guys night is a well established tradition. Fun fact Austin is from Ohio
Matron of Honor
If you were to ask Crystal, she would probably say that me being born was the greatest blessing of her childhood. Well... maybe, but she was definitely mine. She set the bar pretty high for daughters in the family so I am lucky to have her as a role model. My favorite childhood memories with my older sister would include all the adventures we went on and of course, me being the 3rd wheel to her and my brother-in-law, Brian. My all time favorite memories though would include watching her raise 3 girls. Fun fact: I was the flower girl in her wedding.
Best Man
Me and Nick became friends in 7th grade. We hit it off immediately when we figured out we both liked squirrel hunting. In high school, me and Nick started doing fishing tournaments together and when we were college roommates we were in the Bass Pack at NC State. Aside from fishing, we've shared many misadventures together from buying boats we don’t need or traveling across the state on different hunting trips. Fun fact, Nick is also an Electrician
Matron of Honor
Taylor has been in my life long before I can even remember. When I was younger she would watch me by the football field while our brothers would play. I didn’t know it back then but she was always meant to be a part of the Childress family. In 2020 we officially became sisters when her and Evan got married. I was in middle school when they first started dating! One of my favorite memories with Taylor would probably have to be the period of time when we were roommates (if you know, you know). Fun fact: her baby girl is our flower girl.
Groomsman
Evan is one of Alissa's brothers. We hit it off pretty quickly once I met his dog Boonie and discovered we had a similar sense of humor. Evan may be a realtor by day, but he's a mixologist by night. Concocting the finest of cocktails and introducing me to new drinks on a regular basis. Fun fact, Evan is Nora Jane's Dad ( We think )
Groomsman
Brian might be Alissa’s brother in law, but she’s always seen him as her oldest brother. He made sure to start intimidating me as soon as I met him, especially when I would work out at his gym. Brian may look tough, but is a total softy with his three daughters. The more I get to know Brian, the more he feels like a big brother to me and I’m thankful he’s been around to watch over Alissa her whole life. Fun fact, Brian owns a CrossFit gym
Bridesmaid
I first met Arianna in undergraduate school at NCSU during COVID when everything was completely virtual. We then went into the graduate program at NCSU together where our friendship grew closer! Some of my favorite memories with Arianna will always be walking to class, watching our favorite shows, and our day trips to the beach. Fun fact: I caught the bouquet at her wedding and a week later I was engaged!
Groomsman
Brandon is the most recent addition to my group of friends but you'd think he's been around for years. We became close very quickly when we discovered our shared love of working on old cars. Brandon is now a regular of Tuesday guys night and is a full, willing participant in all of our shenanigan's. Brandon is always down for a good time and if he puts it on his calendar, he'll be there. Fun fact, Brandon and Arianna are married.
Bridesmaid
I met Logan through Will's best friend Austin. I always say how grateful I am to have her because Will and Austin are so similar. Logan is always down to have fun and she is the first friend I think of when there is a country concert to go to. The four of us have had multiple double dates to concerts, even traveling to Charlotte together. Next on our bucket list? Morgan Wallen. Fun fact: Logan is in veterinarian school!
Groomsman
Me and Ryan met sophomore year of high school. We had some classes together but grew really close through FFA. We kept hanging out after high school and Ryan is one of the founders of Tuesday guys night. Ryan has always been the go to guy for a good time. It never matters when or where, Ryan will be there. Fun fact, Ryan is Puerto Rican
Bridesmaid
I met Bailey through Will’s best friend, Nick. I think I knew all about Bailey’s hopes and dreams the first time I met her which was when the 4 of us had a bonfire together. So that made us besties from the start. Some of my favorite memories with Bailey will definitely be our double dates to Cabelas and of course our target trips. Fun fact: her and Nick’s wedding was the first wedding Will and I were in together!
Groomsman
Me and Dalton became friends early on in high school. We started hunting together and eventually went to NC State together. Dalton has always been the voice of reason when it comes to our boat buying and hunting trip debacles. For better or worse, that voice of reason is typically ignored. Fun fact, Dalton and Arianna are cousins
Bridesmaid
Sarah is Wills little sister and me being the youngest sibling in my family, I always wanted a younger sibling. Sarah and I became so close and we always have fun when we’re together. One of my favorite memories with Sarah is the first family vacation I went on with the Pucketts to the mountains in West Virginia (and we totally beat Will in the sled race every time). Fun fact: she was the first to see us in person when we got engaged!
Groomsman
Christian is my cousin. Me, him and my sister grew up together spending all of the holidays together. Christian and I grew even closer to each other this year when he started working with me. We both share a love for camping and being outdoors, and I know if I ever need a partner for a random adventure, Christian would be there in heartbeat. Fun fact, Christian would routinely use zip ties to hold his hair when we worked together.
Bridesmaid
I met Emily through my undergraduate internship at House of Hope. We clicked instantly, whether that was because we told each other our life stories within months of our friendship or because of our very similar values. Whatever it was, I know I can call her whenever and she will be there. My favorite memory with Emily would include our time working together or exploring local restaurants and of course supporting the different fundraisers she organizes for House of Hope. Fun fact: she still works at House of Hope today!
Groomsman
Brad is one of Alissa's brothers. Brad is always down for a good time and has taken us to many nights on the town, football games and even a comedy show. Brad is a die hard sports fan ( as long as his team is winning ). He is incredibly outgoing and can talk with anyone about anything. Fun fact, Brad was nearly a pro baseball player
Bridesmaid
I first met Mychaela through Will around our first Christmas in 2018. Not long after that she made me a part of the “Jesus homies” friend group where she and all of our other friends always made me feel welcomed. My favorite memory with Mychaela would be the first time we met to look at Christmas lights and we quickly bonded over our shared hatred for dress shopping. Fun fact: she is an amazing artist!
Groomsman
Me and Wade met in our church youth group. We both shared a love of fishing and became friends very quickly. Me and Wade grew closer after our mission trip to Puerto Rico and then even more so once his wife Mychaela and Alissa became friends. Even though Wade moved to Atlanta, he's the type of friend that you pick up right where you left off no matter how long its been. Fun fact, Wade met his wife Mychaela in the same youth group.
Junior Bridesmaid
Grace was my first niece and I was beyond excited to tell all my friends when I found out. My favorite memory with Grace would have to be taking her to an event at my College where we did challenges, ate ALL the mashed potatoes, and watched a movie.
Junior Bridesmaid
Delaney is my 2nd niece and also my organization queen. One of my favorite memories with Delaney would have to be when me, her, and Will went to the conveyor belt sushi restaurant and I’m pretty sure she had more sushi than Will….
Junior Bridesmaid
Camden is my youngest Herring niece and also my god daughter. One of my favorite memories with Camden will definitely be the summer days we spent together going to the pool, doing tie dye, going to the park, and picking up her sisters from the bus stop.
Flower Girl
Nora Jane is Evan and Taylor’s first born and she also happens to be the first baby Will has been able to watch grow. She is going to be the perfect flower girl because she is already so bubbly (and she also has Camden to train her)
