Travis and Alissa met in college while attending Carroll Community College. They had homicide class together, and Travis would always look back and notice Alissa during lectures. He thought she was so pretty, but it wasn’t until Travis moved onto Stevenson University that he decided to use Social Media and reach out to Alissa. To his surprise she messaged him back and they both started talking. They eventually met in person at Olive Garden. Somewhere in between the endless breadsticks and salad, a strong connection was developing between the both of them. After a period of dates and texting back and forth, Travis was invited to a New Year’s Eve party in which he asked Alissa to join him. At the stroke of midnight on New Year’s Travis asked Alissa to be his girlfriend.

Their relationship continued to strengthen and grow, and a few years after college, Alissa received a job with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in St. Louis, Missouri. Upon moving to Missouri, Travis and Alissa had a wealth of great times including going to St. Louis Cardinals baseball games, a St. Louis Blues hockey game and visiting the Gateway Arch. Their favorite spot in St. Louis was a local brewery in Downtown St. Charles called Trailhead Brewing Company. On September 2nd, 2017 Travis told Alissa he had a surprise planned for her down in the city during Labor Day weekend. To Alissa’s surprise, she was soon standing on a barge on the Mississippi at the base of the Gateway Arch with a helicopter in front. They took off over the river and soon circled the city they called home together. While above the Art Museum, just past the Anheuser-Busch Brewery Travis took out a ring and asked her to be his wife. Travis and Alissa shortly after packed up their lives again and headed to sunny Florida to settle down and in the process bought a house. They still consider Missouri their home away from home, and now look forward to a lifetime of new memories in paradise. We're so excited to celebrate this next chapter in our lives with you.
