Marshall

Best Man

Marshall and Sam have known each other since Sam was 3 months old, and they've been friends ever since. Growing up in Alaska they lived on the same street and played hockey together throughout their childhoods. They were always serious about their nerf gun fights and were always competing to see who could get the best guns from their parents so they could win the next fight. Marshall now works in the Alaskan oil fields and visits Sam in Seattle when he wants to have a good time. Ask me about: The time Sam and Marshall almost burned down his parents' house.

Maggie

Maid of Honor

Maggie has been my best friend since our freshman year of high school! We have seen so many life stages together and I am beyond grateful to have such an amazing friend to run through life with! Maggie and I went to colleges an hour away from each other, and we made the best memories visiting one another and only getting into a little bit of trouble. We have gotten to travel to so many beautiful places together including Japan last year! Ask me about: How Alissa and I first met, traveling to Japan, and that time I got stranded in New Jersey.

Davis

Groomsman

Davis lived up the street from Sam all throughout middle and high school. Davis is a hockey goalie and they played together and against each other throughout the years. Sam and Davis also went to CSU together and both majored in mechanical engineering, although Davis took his talents to the railroad industry after college despite Sam trying to get him interested in rockets. Now Davis is a goalie for the highly esteemed Fighting Narwals beer league team with Sam and Jack in Seattle. Ask him about: how to cook pretty much anything, how he met Sam, how he broke his foot in 6th grade.

Courtney

Bridesmaid

Courtney and I first met during a dinner after a sorority event, and at that time I could not imagine what she would mean to me, partly because it was one of the most awkward dinners of our lives! I do not know what I would do without her friendship and support throughout our college years and now as we try to be responsible adults! She always makes those around her smile with her hilarious and sometimes questionable jokes. Ask me about: The time Alissa and I lived together in Fort Collins over the summer and where the worst place to put a camping grill is.

Chris

Groomsman

Chris was Sam's roommate at Colorado State University for 2 years. They endured the COVID-19 pandemic in their college house together, where they made many memories just trying to keep themselves entertained. They played golf around the CSU campus, road in Tour de Fat, and jammed on their guitars for a couple years. Chris has always been a very positive force in both Sam and Alissa's life and we love that we can include him in the party. Ask me about: Skateboarding, why the college boys call Sam "Turtle", and DO NOT give him advice on his golf swing.

Vitoria

Bridesmaid

Vitoria and I were roommates together for three years in college! She became one of my lifelong best friends even though she forces me to watch musicals like Phantom of the Opera and Mamma Mia. Our time as roommates will forever be some of favorite memories, whether it was making midnight Sonic runs, getting ready for an event, or just walking to campus together. Now we are getting married within two months of each other and we get to go through all the highs and lows of planning of a wedding together! Ask me about: Anything to do with travel, my wedding from August, and musicals that Alissa loved watching with me!

Jack

Groomsman

Jack was also a part of the Anchorage crew and has known Sam since kindergarten. Jack and Sam were on the same line on their high school hockey team and are still playing together on the Fighting Narwals in Seattle. In high school they were always having heated super smash bros and ping pong battles and were always in the same prom and homecoming groups. They bonded over video games in the college years which is how they kept in touch even when Sam left for Colorado. Jack and his wife Kyla just welcomed twins into the world on their first pregnancy and just got to bring them home to meet their dogs Vader and Honey. Ask me about: Senior year Homecoming, Being a dad to twins Valerie and Bennett, super smash bros, toe drags.

Katt

Bridesmaid

Katt and I met through our sorority during my freshman year of college! We loved going to concerts together, having mountain getaways, and eating Cosmo's Pizza with spicy ranch during our study dates at the library! She always pushes me to do challenging stuff with her and we hiked my first 14er together! Katt hiked all the 14ers in Colorado, which is so beyond impressive as I barely made it up the "easiest one". Katt now lives in Missouri with her fiance, Nick, where she is finishing up her surgical residency in veterinary medicine! Ask me about: Animated movies, EDM, and my upcoming wedding in June.

Jeff

Groomsman

Jeff and Sam met freshman year of college after Jeff moved from Wisconsin. Jeff had the best dorm of all the rest of the friends, so Chris, Justin, and Sam frequently found themselves there. Jeff and Sam were the 2 engineers in the group so they spent many hours together (not) doing their homework. They enjoyed many freshman year shenanigans together even though Jeff was always the dad of the group even back then. Jeff and his wife Alyse spent half of last year in the Pacific Northwest which Sam and Alissa took full advantage of, giving the two a food and wine tour of Seattle. They still get to indulge in old habits when Sam & Alissa get to visit them at their new home in Arizona every year. Ask me about: my cat Willow, cheese, and the Packers.

LK

Bridesmaid

LK is my Seattle bestie! We met going through our nursing orientation together when Sam and I moved to Seattle, and I could not imagine living there without her! We became close working night shift together, our love for some girl time over a piece of cheesecake, and then trying to work off all the food we ate together. My favorite memory together is LK and I doing a snowboarding lesson because even though we fell ALOT and might have gotten concussions, we laughed the entire time! Ask me about: The time Alissa and I almost got matching tattoos, running Ragnar, and her family's ranch in Arlington.

Justin

Groomsman

Sam and Justin met in college at CSU in the first couple of weeks. Whenever the group needed a plan for the night, he is the guy they turned to, and Justin quickly became the curator of vibes for the group. On top of that, he's got a photographic memory of J. Cole's whole discography and probably the best vinyl collection in the group. Justin's living the good life in his hometown of Scottsdale, AZ where he just bought a house and lives with his dog Nessy. Ask me about: My dog, how to run a late-night pool table, and what new artist you should be listening to.

Anna

Bridesmaid

Anna is my little cousin and the closest thing I have to a little sister. We grew up in the same neighborhood and spend all of our summers together going to the local pool, riding our bikes, and playing Mario Party. We attended high school together, where we made many memories together, mostly coming from carpooling to-and-from school and debriefing about our days. Anna is now a kindergarten teacher and living her best life in Oahu. Ask me about: being a teacher and how moving to Oahu has been.

Patrick

Groomsman

Patrick is the brother of the groom and lives up in Alaska with the rest of the Stinsons. Sam and Pat don't see each other as much as they'd like, but when they do it's always a great time. Fourth of July in Seward, Alaska, is the de facto yearly brother reunion where Patrick runs the Mount Marathon race and Sam waits (very) patiently at the finish line with a pitcher of beer. Sam was the best man in Patrick's wedding last year so we're very excited to be taking the big step so close together. Ask me about: Snowmachining (snowmobiling for non-Alaskans), my lovely wife Connie, my new house, and my sailboat.

Nicole

Bridesmaid

Nicole is my cousin on my father's side of the family. We grew up spending all our holidays together and spending summer days together at our grandparents house. My favorite memory with Nicole is going to a family reunion together with our parents in South Carolina. We spent most days swimming in the ocean and hanging out with our parents and grandfather. One morning we were swimming and my Aunt Michelle thought it would be funny to yell shark in our direction. I have never seen myself or Nicole run faster! We have so many great memories together and I cannot wait to make more as we grow our families. Ask me about: the time Alissa hit me with a car and her son, Max.

Neill

Groomsman

Neill is Sam's brother-in-law-to-be. Neill's been great, making Sam feel welcome into the Stokes clan with his many dinner party invites down to his house in Windsor when Sam and Alissa were in college, and he's still keeping that alive today with his skills on the Blackstone grill. Sam and Neill bonded over golf, whiskey, cooking high-quality meats, and some much-needed career and investment advice for Sam. Neill and his wife Susanne have a 2-year-old, Cara, who is playing a big role as the solo flower girl for the wedding! Ask me about: The best board games out right now, my daughter Cara, Colorado sports, how to cook a mean fried rice.

Susanne

Bridesmaid

Susanne is my beautiful sister-in-law! My brother and Susanne have been married for almost four years now and are parents to Cara, our flower girl. Sam and I got to know Susanne through double dates at their house in Windsor and loved trying new places to eat. We once split a flammable solid chicken tender from Music City Hot Chicken, and yes it was as hot as the name suggests! We became less adventurous on trying new foods after that experience! We have bonded over our love of wine nights and mountain weekends with our family! So happy she is going to be apart of our big day! Ask me about: our family trips to Disney and keeping up with my daughter, Cara.

Cara

Flower Girl

Our little niece Cara!! Cara is our only niece right now and we love visiting Colorado and getting to spend time with her! She loves Moana, going to Disney World with her parents and grandparents, and bringing her dog's toys to preschool with her! Ask me about: my favorite Disney princess and what I wanna be when I grow up.

Kate

Officiant

Kate and I grew up together practically as siblings because our families lived in the same neighborhood and of course our moms are sisters. In the summers, we would spend countless hours at the neighborhood pool, riding around on our bikes playing cops and robbers (Neill always wanted to be the cop so he could arrest us), or goofing around at each others houses. We also went to the same grade school and high school, were she always took care of Anna and I, making her more of an older sister than a cousin! Ask her about: Bouldering, all her travels, and our time spent as kids together!
