We're getting married!

Robert and I met on a blind date set up by our dear friends Jerica & Chad Morris. Neither of us were really looking for any kind of serious relationship at the time, but we both agreed to meet on July 24, 2019. I was told that Rob was always early wherever he went, so when he showed up late for the date, as red as a lobster, wearing a plain white t-shirt and khaki shorts - my only thought was "oh my"....... The night went on and it was filled with lots of laughs, Jerica and I beating the guys in cornhole and of course Robert's weird music choices. I went home afterwards and told my mom "he is definitley not my type, I'm not sure about a second date with him". She smiled and told me to give it a chance and see how things go. Well, there was a 2nd and a 3rd date and we've been growing together ever since, becoming best friends!❣️

August of 2021 we returned to Tennessee for our second time together. Rob and my best friend Caitlin decided to wake me up early one morning to go for "a hike in the Smoky Mountains" (anyone who knows me well, knows I am not a morning person)... I wasn't very enthused to get out of bed and get ready for the day before the sun was up, but they were both eager to go on this "hike"! We got to the top of the mountain and looked over the Smoky Mountains, it was beautiful! As Rob & I were getting a picture together, he quickly turned and got on one knee! Between not being fully awake yet and being so surprised, I quickly said "WHAT ARE YOU DOING!?" .... I covered my crying eyes up with my sweatshirt and left Rob kneeling there......waiting for an answer from me 😅. Of course, I said yes!!! He surprised me with the most beautiful view, our good friends and a GORGEOUS ring 😍. I spent the rest of our vacation days on cloud-9! Marrying a man that has become my best friend is what I've dreamt of since a little girl. We have been looking forward to celebrating this day with you all!
