When we fell in love 3 years ago, a shared respect for nature sealed the deal. We both felt a reverence for the outdoors, and since then, most of our magical moments together have been in mountains, jungles, and deserts. Reflecting on this, we’d like to begin our marriage on a green foundation.
As you know, we are both deeply concerned for the welfare of our planet and all of the diverse wildlife that rest their fate in our collective hands. In fact, the first time Alissa ever witnessed Joaquin cry was as he tried to fathom the extent of unnecessary animal suffering and extinction.
As we embark on this next chapter, we have no expectation for gifts. Growing up, we were given everything we needed and more. Even our celebration has been paid for by our amazing parents.
