GCH stands for Grand Californian Hotel and Spa, which is the hotel from which we are renting our wedding venue.
The venue of the ceremony and reception are in the Brisa Courtyard.
You can get to the venue one of two ways, through the hotel entrance or through the Downtown Disney entrance. We recommend coming in through the hotel as they have people and signs to guide you.
There is an entrance from GCH into California Adventure Park. However, if you’re going to Disneyland after the wedding, there is no hotel access. Your safest bet is to get on the monorail in Downtown Disney and take it directly into Disneyland.
Ceremony is from 9:30 AM to 10, we recommend everyone eat a light breakfast and arrive around 15 minutes early. Pre-reception is from 10-11/11:15, hosted mimosa bar begins at this time. At 11, the bar closes for an hour. 11:15-12 are toasts/first dance and the first servings of brunch. 12-3 will be eating and dancing.
We recommend bringing some cash to tip the servers or waiters. Also the bar is only hosted for some many drinks per person so it may become a cash bar at some point.
We ask that you enjoy that moment with us as we say “I do” and keep cell phones and cameras away during the ceremony. Pre-reception and brunch are great times to take photos!
We will be very busy before the wedding, we ask that if you have to get into contact with us you call either the mother of the bride (Suzanne, 925-785-1875) or the maid of honor (Sara, 925-785-8924).
Our venue for both the ceremony and reception are outside and the weather in California can be dry and hot. We ask that you recognize that it could be in the 90’s and dress accordingly. However, since it’s a morning wedding it might start out in the 70’s. Dress is semi formal, but most importantly comfortable. We also strongly recommend wearing sunscreen.
