We didn’t start as strangers. We knew of each other back in high school—hanging out in gym class, we were familiar faces in a familiar place. The kind of knowing where someone existed in your world, but not yet in your life. Back then, we were kids with separate dreams. Life moved on, as it does. First Dustin graduated high school in 2013 and I followed a year later. Years passed, and we grew into different versions of ourselves. Seven whole years of learning, loving, hurting, healing. All the while, never knowing that we were two people meant for each other but we were still quietly living our own stories--separately, yet alongside each other. Then one day, in the most modern way - we found each other again... by a swipe. Tinder. We swiped right without knowing we were swiping into our forever. And just like that, the story that never really began in high school finally found its moment....
