In a quiet suburban town, Alec and Alissa crossed paths in Bel Air High School Drama Class. Alec, (Junior) was initially drawn to Alissa's beauty but believed he'd never catch her interest. Alissa (Senior) saw Alec as a rebel, a jerk, and had no intention of getting to know him. After high school ended and halfway through the summer, Alec, acting on a "hunch," messaged Alissa to catch up. She agreed, not seeing the harm in hanging out with a former classmate, but they both insisted on having their friends around to ease the pressure. During this initial hangout, Alissa discovered a kind, down-to-earth side to Alec she hadn't seen before but still wasn't fully sold on him, while Alec was entranced by her radiant energy and just wanted the chance to get to know her even more. A week passes by, and Alec proposed another hangout, but just the two of them. She once again agreed. She picked him up from his house and went to the mall with a meager $20 budget. While walking around, a pushy salesperson coerced Alissa into buying a nail kit since she was shy and just wanted the conversation to be over and done with. This however depleted their funds. Hungry and defeated, they sought help from a friend who took them to McDonald’s, During these moments, Alissa saw a caring, thoughtful, sweet side to Alec, and her perception of how he was as a person began to change. After eating, they went back at Alec's house to watch some south park and chill out. This was all in vain since they ended up being hyper-focused on chatting with one another about their hopes, dreams, and fears, forging a deep connection. Alissa has never felt comfortable chatting about such deep topics with someone and just liked him more than she ever thought possible and Alec from this point on only had one plan for the summer, to be with Alissa as her significant other. Alec, who initially considered out of Alissa's league, was falling for her and wanted to do everything he could to be with her and Alissa, who believed Alec was a stuck up jerk saw there was more than meets the eye. First impressions aren’t everything and they were so glad they took a chance on seeing them for who they are and not what they perceive to be true.
