We are having a destination wedding in Kauai, Hawaii! It will be a small beach ceremony with just our parents on June 10th, 2017
Our friends and family are spread across the US and Canada, so instead of having a big wedding, we're going to have a few small, local, relaxed celebrations. We look forward to seeing you :)
One day, our mutual friend hosted a movie night. I said, "There's this show I like, you should watch it," and he said, "I'd love to watch it with you". We watched a few. Then we watched a few more. Eventually we finished the show, but we weren't finished with each other.
We finally went on a "real" date a month after we started with TV and takeout. He picked me up, took me out for a 9 course meal, and then we did a sunset walk around Gasworks Park. It was total overkill, but it sure was romantic.
For our fourth Valentine's Day together, he planned a sushi dinner. On the way home, I requested ice cream, and he suggested we eat at Gasworks Park, like our first date. It was a popular night to watch the city skyline, but eventually the top of the hill was empty, so we walked up. And then he got down on one knee <3
The day after he proposed, I suggested a casual game of our favorite board game. While playing Eldritch Horror, he drew a strange, custom Encounter card, that didn't come with the game. It spoke of a redhead, in a rainy city, who could help him if he rolled well. The dice were kind to him, so he received a custom Item Card as a reward--a Ring. And then I got down on one knee too.
