What time should I arrive for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will begin promptly at 4:00 PM in the wooded amphitheater at Camptown. Please plan to arrive 15–20 minutes early to find your seat, take in the trees, and settle in.

What is the dress code?

Answer

The dress code is Autumn Formal. Think rich, vibrant fall colors, deep jewel tones, chic gowns, and sharp suits. Because the ceremony is located fully in a wooded nature area with gravel pathways, we highly recommend skipping the stilettos or thin heels in favor of block heels, wedges, or stylish flats so you can easily navigate the terrain. Layers and wraps are also highly recommended for a crisp October mountain night!

What’s the weather situation? Will I freeze?

Answer

October in the Catskills is magical, but mountain weather can be unpredictable. Our ceremony is outdoors in nature, but our reception is fully covered under two stunning clear-top tents. We will have high-powered heating units on standby if a chill hits, but we highly encourage bringing a cool jacket, blazer, or wrap so you are comfortable all evening.

How does guest transportation work if I’m staying off-property?

Answer

Because rideshares like Uber and Lyft are virtually non-existent in this part of the mountains, your safety is our priority! We are providing a dedicated private shuttle service for the weekend events on both Friday and Saturday night. Shuttles are planned to run loops between the Holiday Inn Express, Camptown, and Piccolo Trattoria. Stay tuned for exact timing and pickup schedules, which we will post here soon! For those driving themselves on Saturday, guest parking is located in the back lot at 49 Forest Hills Ave (right next to the ceremony area).

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding weekend is a mostly child-free celebration so everyone can let loose. The only tiny exceptions are a few immediate family nieces and nephews who will be popping in quickly for pre-ceremony photos before heading back to the cabins for a cozy night with on-site sitters.

What’s the food situation? I have dietary restrictions.

Get excited—dinner is a heavy, platter-pass family-style feast crafted by the incredible, James Beard-nominated team at Casa Susanna. If you are gluten-free (like the Bride!), vegetarian, or have strict food allergies, don't worry. There will be beautiful, dedicated options explicitly built out so you are safe and fully fed.

Is there an afterparty?

Answer

Absolutely. The main reception wraps up at 10:00 PM, and the afterparty kicks off right at 10:30 PM and runs until 1:00 AM. Walk, skip, or stumble over to Casa Susanna on-site for the final fiesta of the night—late-night snacks, drinks, and jams will be fully provided.

Is the property easy to walk around? What if I or a family member have trouble getting to the ceremony space?

Answer

Camptown sits on a beautiful, rambling 22-acre property, but all of our wedding weekend events are consolidated in the back meadow area. To ensure everyone travels comfortably, the venue staff will be operating a fleet of golf carts throughout the weekend! If you or a family member have mobility issues or need a quick lift from your cabin to the wooded ceremony site or the reception tents, simply let a member of the staff know, and they will happily drive you right over.

If you get lost on your way to the property, miss a shuttle pickup time, or have an urgent timeline question on Saturday, please do not text or call the bride or groom (they will be busy getting pampered, drinking margaritas, and hanging out in the sauna!).
