We met at an Irish bar, Connelly’s, in Greenville, South Carolina. Ali headed to Connelly’s with her roommate to play darts, but all the dart boards were taken. Adamant on playing, they decided they would ask a random group if they could join their game. Hunter was playing darts with his friends, and Ali looked up and saw him for the first time. We started playing darts together, and the rest is history!
For almost 5 years, our relationship was long distance. Ali lived in Greenville, South Carolina, and Hunter lived outside of Nashville, Tennessee. For those two years, we were a six-hour-drive apart. When Ali went to law school in Minneapolis, Minnesota, we became a plane ride apart. Over those next three years, we took many flights between Minneapolis and Nashville. After graduating law school, Ali moved to Tennessee and finally we were together permanently! The Air Force brought us to Phoenix, Arizona where we live today.
We joyfully eloped in the desert of Arizona on June 14, 2025. We are grateful our families were able to join via FaceTime, and we are appreciative of our officiant and two friends who served as witnesses to make it official.
