While we were both in the Spartan Marching Band in 2014, (Alison in color guard, Zack playing tuba), we didn't cross paths until 2015. Our connection was solidified at the infamous 2015 Tuba Toga house party. We had been introduced a few weeks prior, and when the party was broken up by police on horseback, Alison hosted an after party at her house. This brought our friend groups together, and our dating story began. We went on a formal first date to The Soup Spoon Café, and later became "Facebook official" on October 21, 2015. Our remaining years at MSU included numerous dates, football games, moped rides, and joy. Alison started a job in New York City upon graduation in 2017, which began the years of our long-distance relationship. Zack graduated in 2018 and moved to Maryland, which brought us closer together, but still an Amtrak ride away from one another. In 2020 we managed to peacefully live together in Zack's one bedroom apartment while only having each other for company for weeks on end during the pandemic lockdown. Alison returned to NYC after a few months, and upon finishing her graduate degree, began making plans to move to Maryland. We both moved to Baltimore together in July 2021. After a year of car purchasing, concert attending, bike riding, keeping up with friends old and new, we both knew it was time to take things to the next level. On October 21, 2022, our 7-year relationship anniversary, Zack proposed to Alison on a bridge near Round Falls on the Jones Falls Trail - a popular bike route for us. She said yes, we partied with friends, typed this all out on this website, and you somehow know and care about us if you're reading this and have made it to this point! Thank you! We love you and we are excited to celebrate our journey as we continue our lives together.
