There's ton of fun to be had right here! The Lodges on Seeley Lake has kayaks, canoes, paddleboards, lifejackets, bikes, and helmets available for guest use at no cost.
Relatively flat, out-and-back hike to a scenic waterfall. Approximately 5 miles roundtrip, this is one of the most popular hikes in our area (for good reason). The trailhead is a 30-minute drive from the Lodges.
Just a 20-minute drive from Seeley, Holland Lake is a gorgeous place for hiking or a lakeside picnic. From the parking lot, you can hike to Holland Falls (~3 miles roundtrip), venture miles into the Bob Marshall Wilderness, or walk 5 minutes to the beach and take in the views.
Forested with 25+ kilometers of intersecting trails and creeks running throughout, the cross-country ski trails are a great spot to stretch your legs without leaving town. Just a 9-minute drive from the Lodges.
The Double Arrow Lodge & Resort has an 18-hole course, driving range, and an excellent bar and restaurant.
We're regulars at this family-owned Mexican restaurant. Good people and good food!
Delicious coffee and pizza (brewed and baked by the best). Takeout only.
Stop in for a coffee and stay for the incredible selection of books, jewelry, art, gifts, and more.
(Full day+) Hiking, camping, backpacking, fishing, and more. Check out their website as reservations may be required for some of the more popular attractions like driving the Going-to-the-Sun Road.
(Full day) 12-mile roundtrip hike from the Glacier Lake trailhead to Turquoise Lake. It takes about an hour to drive to the trailhead and it's a sustained climb once you're on trail, but seeing the rocky spires and many lakes of the Mission Mountain Wilderness makes the journey well worth it.
(Full day) Plenty of exertion like Turquoise but less of a drive! This 12-mile roundtrip hike takes you to an alpine lake at the top of one of the glorious mountains visible from town. You might run into stock on this trail -- be prepared to see horses/mules and get out of their way.
(Full day+) You'll be right on Seeley Lake, a 10-minute drive from Salmon and Harper Lakes, and less than 20 minutes from the famed Blackfoot River. Take a guided fishing trip, reserve a waterfront campsite, or take a book/blanket to one of the many public access sites.
(Full day) Rent a UTV and head up to the Morrell Mountain Fire Lookout, Double Arrow Lookout, or over to Trixi's for lunch in Ovando.
(Full day) Head out Cottonwood Lakes Rd, then up ~6 miles of a narrow dirt road to the Morrell Mountain Fire Lookout. This is a spot where we often ski in the wintertime. Gorgeous views of Seeley Lake and the Mission Mountains.
