How we first met

July 3rd, 2015

A night out with the girls, celebrating the 4th of July, turned into meeting the love of my life. Life has such a crazy way of showing you exactly who you are meant to be with. A night, either of us expected to find anything, changed our life for the better.

The proposal

June 8th, 2021

Nate is not one for planning things, as most of you already know. He is a very go-with-the-flow type of man. Recently, we had to put down our dog Remi and we had talked about scattering his ashes on the beach at Biddeford pool, which was his favorite place to go. I had come home from work and Nate had suggested going to scatter his ashes, since it was such a nice day out. I agreed and proceeded to change out of my work clothes. He then had suggested wearing a dress because it was such a special event, so not thinking anything of it, put on a dress and we continued on our way. As we walked along the beach, we reminisced about the good times we had with Remi, I started to tear up a bit. Nate had mentioned something about hearing a dog on the beach, I looked around and noticed a couple of people sitting in the dunes (who I later found out was Camryn and Peyton) and pointed to them. Nate got a little flustered and said no probably not them and we continued on our way. Once we got to a certain spot on the beach, Nate says to me, "Okay do you want to say a few words before we scatter his ashes?" and I said, " I do, but you go first". Nate then proceeded to say, "well Remi we aren't here to scatter your ashes today, but I wanted you here for this..." he then put the urn in the sand, got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. I was so excited, I jumped up into his arms and was smiling from cheek to cheek. He then tells me about his sisters hiding in the dunes, which we then waved to. I remember feeling so happy, I just could not keep still or believe that this had just happened.

For all the days along the way
