We first met in March of 2022 at a bar during our senior year at West Virginia University and remained friends through the remainder of school. After graduation, life took us in different directions — Kolzie moved to Fort Myers, while Alison returned home to Cincinnati for the summer, with plans to head to Fort Lauderdale that fall for graduate school. Even with the distance, we stayed in touch every day. In March of 2023, Kolzie made the drive to Fort Lauderdale to spend a weekend with Alison, and we continued traveling back and forth to see each other, building our relationship mile by mile. In November of 2023, we officially began dating. On October 4, 2025, Kolzie took Alison to Bonita Beach and proposed. It was a moment filled with love, excitement, and gratitude for the journey that brought us there. Today, we love spending our time together outside — fishing, boating, cooking meals at home, and cheering on our favorite football teams. From a college bar to building a life together, we’re so thankful for every step that led us here and can’t wait for what’s next.
