A serendipitous meeting at the "Flourish Factory" turned into forever. Alison and Jose both new to California, were enjoying life in the Bay Area. Alison working as a mental health therapist in Oakland, Jose entering the tech scene in San Francisco. After our initial meeting at a house party through a mutual connection (Thank you, Lusmaia), it took a few months for Jose and Alison to connect again, but like any good salesman, Jose persisted. We eventually had our first date at Lukas Restaurant (RIP) in Oakland, CA. We quickly connected over our love of the Red Sox, the East Coast, concerts, and exploring the Bay Area. Our love continued to grow as we traveled to new places, met friends and family, and started to integrate our two lives together. Those early days of love felt effortless, spontaneous, and meant to be. Shortly after we moved in together, the COVID pandemic began and our love was put to the test while living in a studio apartment together during lockdown. We eventually upgraded to a bigger space and moved to Lenox Ave in Oakland, and a year and a half later our daughter was named after that very street. Our love continued to blossom while we welcomed Lenox in November of 2021. It was bittersweet to leave the Bay area, but we moved to San Diego to be closer to family and raise Lenox shortly after she was born. We spend most of our days at the beach, Petco Park and exploring San Diego as a family of 3. Through all the ups and downs that life has thrown at us the last 6 years, we are forever grateful for that random meeting one December night. We cant wait to celebrate with you all!
