Wedding Party

We know, there's a lot of people! Relationships are very important to us. We wanted to make sure we had our favorite people with us to celebrate.

Jaclyn Miron

Maid of Honor

When Jaclyn was born 22 months after me, I immediately called her 'my baby' and that sentiment feels true today. She is compassionate, insightful, and makes me laugh like no one else. We are the two young Miron girls and united because of it while always seeming to communicate in our own language.

Rose Miron

Bridesmaid

The sister who first taught me how to put on makeup, was patient enough to let me sleep with her every third night (alternating with Gretchen and Jaclyn, of course) and drops everything for her loved ones. She is always one step ahead, trailblazing a path for the rest of the Miron girls. Looking up to her and having her as a source of comfort is the best.

Gretchen Miron

Bridesmaid

My co-middle sister! My college roommate for one year! The sister who is wise beyond her years and always displaying her 'Gretchen faces' for everyone to interpret. We have a tendency to finish each other's sentences while talking at rapid speeds. Gretchen pushes me to be my best and is always ready to engage in the challenging conversations.

Jessica Ntambi

Bridesmaid

My anchor, my sounding board, a major source of comfort. Jessa has been my best friend since high school and if we go a day without talking I start to feel off. We balance each other out and seem to know what each other are thinking before anything is said. I appreciate that she is always ready for Culvers whenever we are physically in the same place and always responds to my request for fashion advice.

Julia Guthrie

Bridesmaid

The one who has seen it all right alongside me. Most of my memories involve Julia and I navigating life together which has always been improved by her perspective and creativity. We are so different from each other and yet tethered by our core values and need for humor. Despite the longevity of our friendship, finding a (semi-flattering) picture of us together was nearly impossible.

Elly Pirman

Bridesmaid

We had many joint birthday parties, spent a shocking amount of time playing basketball, and I cannot even fathom the hours of laughing together. We used to walk around Kimberly getting mega-buddies and assigning animal-look alikes to people but now we travel together while remaining the truest of friends. Elly is one of the smartest people I know who also happens to find herself with the worst (also best?) luck, which I never fail to point out.

Sam Leicht

Bridesman

My love and admiration for Sam is endless. He keeps Elly and me on track when we travel together and is always leading by example with what it means to be a good friend. Sam seems to make the messy stuff not so messy and I quickly knew I wanted him in my life forever. I loved him during his Justin Bieber hair days and ideally will retire in Door County with him someday.

Erin McHale

Honor Attendant

Erin inspires me to be the best version of myself. She invests in her loved ones and is ready to provide the advice you never knew you needed. Once we met, I was captivated by her empathy and wanted to bottle up her warmth but instead I infiltrated her morning walks with Alexis. She is genuinely the dreamiest friend.

Alexis Geik

Honor Attendant

I love Alexis' soul so much. She makes everyone around her better and her honesty is always a breath of fresh air that I need. We met in Bloomington as we both worked at IU and I immediately decided she was going to be my friend. Good choice by me because she is the friend I never knew I needed but now refuse to let from my grasp. Also a fantastic co-singer to Ultimate from Freaky Friday.

Corry Smith

Honor Attendant

Initially Corry was "just a work friend" and then I lured him with my buffalo chicken dip, pretzels, and Fred and George. Corry cuts through the noise and says exactly what needs to be said at any given moment. I value his work ethic and honesty that he applies to every situation. He is a joy and will always be my Dewey. I wouldn't trade our time at THE Upstairs for anything.

Jenn Stevens

Honor Attendant

Jenn is synonymous with college to me. I value her friendship a great deal and the influence she has had on me feels too big to quantify. She only texts me back like every other month and yet I know if we needed each other in the middle of the night we'd be at each other's doors as fast as humanly possible. Jenn always seems to forge her own path and I am behind her cheering loudly, always.

Maddie Zirkle

Wedding Planner

Student-turned friend, Maddie is a super human. She goes above and beyond for the people in her life and we feel very lucky to have her in ours. When Dillon proposed, after saying yes, I asked him if anyone else knew he was proposing and he said "yeah actually, Maddie Zirkle" which feels incredibly par for the course.

Adam Frechen

Best Man

Adam has been my best friend from the start. For nearly 30 years we have had the exact same sense of humor, interest in music, and passion for the game of hockey. Every time there was the slightest sense of a tussle between us as kids, our parents always reminded us we each only have one brother, forever. Being a constant in each other’s lives is a wonderful feeling.

Katie Gaither

Groomswoman

I met Katie during my Summer internship at Michigan Technological University during graduate school. That Summer we started a weekly radio show, Turn It U.P. Radio, on the campus radio station. We pierced our noses together and took frequent hikes exploring some of the best parts our home state has to offer. Katie is the most supportive, validating friend I’ve ever known and feels like the sister I never had.

Aaron Uherek

Groomsman

Aaron is the first and closest friend I made at Michigan State. He lived several doors down from me on the 3rd floor of Hubbard Hall and was blasting Parkway Drive loud enough for the whole building to hear a few days into our first semester. The rest is history. Beyond the thousands of music recommendations we’ve shared over the years, our love of MSU is what brings us together the most.

Travis Scott

Groomsman

Travis is my oldest friend of the bunch, dating back to elementary school. At daycare, his younger brother pronounced his name Tavi, which is of course what I have called him since then as well. The majority of our conversations consist of quoting Seinfeld back and forth at each other or talking about our favorite Atmosphere songs. The best thing about Tavi is that he never misses the chance to tell his friends how much he loves them, and what their friendship means to him.

Cody Wettlaufer

Groomsman

Cody knows how to find humor in any situation. My favorite memories with Cody include making home videos in high school that only him, Trav, Mitch, and myself found funny. It was Cody’s idea to listen to the same 2 Live Crew song all the way to and from Myrtle Beach during our Senior year Spring break, raking in over 260 listens over the span of 4 days. What I love most about Cody is how he challenges the people he cares the most about to be the best version of themselves.

Mitch Jewell

Groomsman

Mitch is the funnest person I have ever met. He has the most subtle, intelligent sense of humor of anyone I know. My favorite memories with Mitch include playing some of the most improbable, insane games on NCAA Football and filming home videos with Cody. I’ve never seen Mitch upset or hold a grudge, and he is friendly to everyone he meets. He radiates goodness and I love and admire him for that.

Andrew Jason

Groomsman

Andrew and I met during our time as AmeriCorps volunteers with the MSU College Advising Corps after college. We kept being assigned as roommates at hotels when we traveled for conferences, which made some of the best middle-of-the-night chats about politics, education, and how we wanted to use our sphere of influence to make the world a better place. Andrew is the most creative, authentic, and unique person I know. I tell everyone the best two years of my life were the ones I spent in Muskegon. The memories made with Andrew are a large reason why. Everyone deserves an Andrew Jason in their life.

Noah Reetz

Usher

Noah and his wife Erin put a roof over mine and Alison’s heads, quite literally. We are currently paying rent to them, living in a townhouse they own. Noah and his wife are two of our first friends we made in Bloomington and have remained close ever since. Noah and I love the show Twin Peaks, talking about beard grooming, and agree Cheez-Its are the best snack.

AJ Souers

Officiant

AJ is the husband of Alison’s oldest sister, Rose. AJ and I enjoy biking together and talking about Curb Your Enthusiasm. He knew us before we were technically dating, when we were “special friends,” as Alison described it. He has seen our love grow from the start and we can’t wait for him celebrate that love with us.

Connor Bush

Officiant

Connor is the husband of Alison’s sister, Gretchen. Connor and I bonded immediately upon meeting after realizing we were both MSU alums and grew up playing hockey in Michigan. We are fortunate enough to only live an hour away from Connor and Gretchen, so he has had the opportunity to watch our relationship grow over the years. I’m thrilled to have Connor and AJ officially become my brothers.

Neva Souers

Flower Girl

Neva Bell is our niece and the sweetest little girl. She is giggly, caring, and always ready to try new things. Watching her grow is incredibly fun and her intelligence leaves us in awe. We can't wait for her to steal the show (with her co-flower girl, Colleen) in June.

Colleen Bush

Flower Girl

Colleen Rohe is our other niece who happens to be just three weeks behind Neva. She is funny, adventurous, and full of energy. Making her smile feels like we've won the lottery. We can't wait for her to steal the show (with her co-flower girl, Neva) in June.

Fred

Cat of Honor

We went to the animal shelter to get George but as soon as we opened the door Fred ran out and she decided she was going to be in our life before we knew it ourselves. She is playful, curious, and very snuggly. Her bright blue eyes welcome everyone into our home and we love her despite her crippling separation anxiety that sometimes results in not fun surprises when we come back from trips. Fred and George will not actually be a part of the wedding but we wanted them to have a space on the website because we're obsessed with them.

George

Cat of Honor

Alison spotted George on the Bloomington Animal Shelter website and was immediately smitten. The only thing she loves more than food is being pet and laying on someone's lap. She doesn't meow like a normal cat but instead yells if she doesn't feel like she's getting the attention she deserves. Cuddling with her is the best because she is chunky and squishy and sweet. Fred and George will not actually be a part of the wedding but we wanted them to have a space on the website because we're obsessed with them.
