The Monterey regional airport is the local airport for the Carmel/Monterey area, and is situated about 15 minutes to both Carmel Valley and Carmel-by-the-Sea. Uber is available throughout the area and would be an easy way of getting around if you prefer to not rent a car.

The San Jose airport is the closest major airport and about a 90 minute drive to Carmel. If your best flight options are into San Jose, we would recommend renting a car from this airport and making the drive down.

The San Francisco airport is about a 2 hour drive to Carmel. If your best flight options are into San Francisco, we would recommend renting a car from this airport and making the drive down.

Bernardus Lodge & Spa

This is the hotel where the wedding festivities will be. Bernardus has stunning views of Carmel Valley, beautiful rooms and a great pool and spa. Though the wedding will take place here, there are many options throughout Carmel Valley and Carmel-by-the-Sea (~15 minutes away), which are listed below. The remaining rooms in our block are $735 p/night for Friday and Saturday nights. Thursday night is fully booked at the hotel. This is a beautiful resort that sits on 500 acres and is just a 5 minute car ride to Bernardus Lodge. Located just 9 minutes from Bernardus Lodge, this resort sits on an expansive property and is a great option for those looking to golf. The Quail Golf Club's championship course is walkable, challenging, and picturesque. And the resort also features tennis and pickleball courts in addition to a high end spa. Price Point: $$$

This is a quintessential Carmel hotel and it is one of the more popular hotels in the town. Once owned by Doris Day, the hotel has a bit of old world charm mixed with Mediterranean architecture. Built in 1889, this is the first-ever hotel in Carmel-by-the-Sea. This is about 15 minutes from Bernardus Lodge and in the middle of Carmel. If you are looking for a historic hotel in a location that is walkable to the beach, shops, and restaurants, this is a great option. Price Point: $$
