Cody and Alison have known each other for a while. The two reconnected at a mutual friend's bonfire in March 2021 and have talked every day since. On April 10th, 2021 Cody and Alison went on their first date, and a week later on April 17th, Cody asked Alison to be his girlfriend.

Cody and Alison got engaged on December 22nd, 2023. The 2 had planned to hang out that evening and go to Cody's work Christmas party. When Alison arrived at Cody's she was greeted by their dog, Jade. Alison noticed the most beautiful engagement ring on Jade's collar. Cody took the ring and asked Alison to marry him and of course, she said YES!
