Caden and Ali instantly became best friends when they met through mutual friends at Chico State. They spent lots of time adventuring and living life to the fullest with one another. A relationship blossomed, and they have spent every day together since. After graduating college, they moved to Oregon and have continued growing and loving each other more and more every day.

Ali has been known to ruin surprises for herself so Caden had to make sure nothing slipped before he popped the question. Without Ali knowing, he flew her sister home from college, got the family together, and all that was left was to get down on one knee. During Ali's graduation photos on campus at Chico State, Caden caught her completely off guard and asked her to spend the rest of her life with him. After the proposal, he drove her back to her hometown in Sonoma County, where their whole family celebrated with them.
