Where is the wedding taking place?

Answer

Both our ceremony and reception will take place at Graduate Providence located at 11 Dorrance Street Providence, RI 02904 in Downtown Providence.

Question

How and when should I RSVP?

Answer

RSVPs will open in early spring when we send out formal invitations. Please RSVP on our wedding website no later than April 27th.

Is there a dress code?

Answer

Yes! Our wedding will be Black-Tie Optional. We ask that men wear a tuxedo or a dark suit and tie and women wear an evening gown or midi or tea-length cocktail dress or dressy jumpsuit.

Is there parking for the ceremony or reception?

Answer

Self-parking for vehicles is available at the Biltmore Garage, located next to the hotel on 51 Washington Street, Providence. Self-parking is $33 per night. Of note: The parking garage is not owned or managed by the Graduate Providence.

Are kids welcome?

Answer

While we love your little ones, our wedding will be an adults-only event so that everyone can relax and enjoy the evening. We appreciate you making arrangements ahead of time and leaving the kids at home so you can celebrate with us.

Can I bring a date?

Answer

In order to keep our guest list on track, we are only able to accommodate those guests formally invited on your wedding invitation.

Will the ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception take place indoors or outdoors?

Answer

Assuming the weather cooperates, our ceremony will be held outside on the 3rd floor terrace. Our cocktail hour and reception will take place inside on the 17th floor.

Are there any other events that I should know about around the wedding?

Answer

Yes! Please join us for a post-wedding breakfast Sunday morning before heading home! Attire is dressy casual.

I have dietary restrictions, can I make a special request?

Answer

Yes! We want you to be safe and comfortable. When RSVPing, please select “dietary restrictions” on the food menu and indicate what allergies or diet you follow. Should you have any other concerns on this matter that you’d like us to be aware of, please email us at alisonandalexnikolaidis@gmail.com to let us know!

Do you have any hotel recommendations?

Answer

Providence, RI offers many wonderful hotels, including our wedding venue, Graduate Providence. Should you like to stay elsewhere we recommend the following options: Providence Marriott Downtown, Omni Providence Hotel, Hampton Inn & Suites Providence Downtown, and Hotel Providence.

Are you registered? Where?

Answer

Yes! We are registered at Zola. Our registry information can be found on the registry section of our wedding website.

Can I take photos?

Answer

We ask you to kindly refrain from taking photos during the ceremony. We have professional photographers on hand to capture all the special moments and are excited to share their photos with you. After the ceremony, we are happy for you to take photos and would love for you to share them with us!

What type of food and drink will be served during the cocktail hour and reception?

Answer

We'll be serving light passed hors d'oeuvres during cocktail hour, followed by a four-course plated dinner and dessert accompanied by an open bar. We invite you to toast to our nuptials with a curated selection of wine, beer, mixed drinks and our signature cocktail. A late night station will also be available later in the evening.
