We love to bike around the Twin Cities and were excited to see that the Port of Hastings Outfitters, an eBike and pedal bike rental company, was located within the same building as The Confluence! There is no place better than to go biking along the Mississippi River. Ali also recommends the Vermillion River Greenway, a bike trail that she worked on with Dakota County to improve the trails.
When we lived 40 minutes apart from one another, we often met up a Lebanon Hills Regional Park to go for a hike or picnic. We often go back with our dog Andy as a nice nature area within the bustling city. The almost 2,000 acre park has plenty of trails, long and short, that can accommodate anyone looking to move their legs.
We would be remise not share our favorite cocktail bar! It's right around our neighborhood so you can get a glimpse into cozy St. Paul. Bar Cart offers a full food menu, a large drink menu, and a snacking menu that is our favorite. We dream about the pesto burrata way too often.
We love curling!! Ali grew up curling here since she was 8 and now we both curl together on Fridays. Aaron also has a second league on Mondays with his friends. You won't be able to give it a try but the St. Paul Curling Club has a great atmosphere, large windows for watching, and a full restaurant and bar. Take a look at the website for open hours but we recommend Friday evening since that is our league that we will be missing (sorry team!).
