Question

What's the weather usually like in MT in September?

Answer

Hopefully *crosses fingers* the weather should be around low 70s, high 60s. Of course Montana weather does whatever it wants so don't quote me on that. You should be alright most of the day with maybe a light jacket for the evening.

Question

Are there any hotels nearby?

Answer

The closest town to stay in a standard hotel would either be Hungry Horse or Kalispell. Most places that are closest to where the ceremony is being hosted will most likely be Airbnbs or cabins for rent. There is also a very nice KOA campground nearby, about 10 minutes away from the ranch. It boasts TWO pools, one for adults and one for families, TWO hot tubes, an ice cream shop AND a BBQ restaurant! They have everything from tent lots and cabins with full amenities for rent, at a very decent price. Check it out here: https://koa.com/campgrounds/west-glacier/

Question

What kind of food will be served?

Answer

We will be having a general BBQ and potluck dishes. My family and friends have generously offered to make and bring dishes. I cannot guarantee any gluten free, vegetarian or vegan options. If this is a concern for you, please feel free to bring your own meal.

Question

What's the best way to get there?

Answer

You have a few options, depending on where you are departing from. If you are leaving from the Vancouver/Portland area, Amtrak does offer tickets that would take you to Whitefish MT, which is about a 30 minute drive to the ranch. You would need to rent a car in Whitefish, or possibly take a Lyft/Uber. You can also fly into Kalispell MT, which is also 30 minutes away from the ranch and would also require either renting a car or getting a taxi. The last choice of course is to drive, which is roughly a 10 hour drive.

Question

How will we find the location of the ranch?

Answer

I've posted and mailed out a map to detail specific directions on how to locate the ranch. Again, DO NOT rely on Google Maps as it does not have the correct location for the ranch. We will also be placing signs beginning in Martin City MT for the turn off onto Spotted Bear road, which will continue to the wedding site. If you have any questions on directions please email me at alynndahl@gmail.com.

Question

What time should I arrive?

Answer

The ceremony begins at 3pm, but we will have a limited amount of beverages and appetizers available before the ceremony. The earliest we would be prepared for guests would be 12pm.
