The guest count will be decreasing dramatically, and we will be providing masks and hand sanitizing stations as well. The ceremony will be outdoors in open air and the reception will be outside under a large tent as well. Dinner and part of the reception will be in the beautiful conservatory, but we will be seating families together and have optional tables outside if eating indoors feels too risky for you and your family. We are asking guests to get tested for COVID using either the traditional nasal swab, or rapid test saliva swab prior to traveling to Galveston for the wedding. Test results can take up to a week+, so please do a little research as to where you would like to get tested in your home town. Almost all tests are covered by insurance, but some of the faster tests cost more. We ask that anyone who has been exposed to someone with COVID-19, travelling frequently or showing ANY symptoms to please stay home! We will celebrate with you when our world returns to normal. :)
Yes there is a free parking lot directly in front of the conservatory as well as an overflow lot next door. You are not allowed to remain parked there overnight, so please make arrangements to move your car after the reception or use a transportation service like Uber or Lyft.
The dress code is black tie-optional attire. Don't feel the need to rent a tuxedo or wear a ballgown, but we would appreciate keeping the event formal if possible. Cocktail dresses and suits are just fine!
Except for a couple kiddos that are over the age of 10, we would prefer for you to enjoy this mini-vacation on the island and make accommodations for your little ones. We love your kids, but we hope that you can understand wanting to keep this intimate wedding adult only. Thank you in advance!
