We met in Huntington Beach and started dating in 2016. Ali was going to school at CSULB and I was taking fire science classes at a community college. I started school at CSULB the following year and we kept dating. Now we've both started our careers, are homeowners, and cat/dog parents!

We love to camp and enjoy the outdoors so, of course the proposal happened on the shore of a lake in the Eastern Sierra. We were camping in the Toiyabe National Forest west of Bridgeport at Leavitt Lake. The road in was rough and it was our first time off-road with the ambulance camper. We found the perfect campsite near the water just in time for golden hour. I told Ali we should take some pictures down by the water and proposed on the shore of the lake.
