Nowadays, with dating apps and socials, first loves have become a temporary fix that many grow out of. We idiolise our grandparents for reaching diamond wedding anniversaries and envy their commitment to each other and their love underneath the lighthearted bickering… Against what seemed very slim odds in this day and age, we fell lucky to find our person so quickly. Meeting in secondary school, Harry and I went on our first date at the local park on 05/12/2014 in Sawley. Through the years we've grown together from young teenagers into adults, where we have had to not only learn about ourselves, but also to learn how to work together through communication and understanding. Many young loves breakdown through growing up and becoming different people, but for us we only grew closer and became a team. Exactly 9 years after meeting at that park, Harry proposed to me walking home from a fancy dinner under the stars. Keeping to our date, we will be tying the knot on our 11-year anniversary 05/12/2025 and hope that we have a love story our grandkids will treasure.
