We're getting married!

We met online in the summer of 2015. Yes. We did that online dating thing. WHAT?! Needless to say, for us, it worked! Since then, the two of us have always joked about how we could be an online dating success story for a commercial. Yet, we have also debated telling everyone we met at a grocery store... two destined lovers reaching for the same carton of milk? Whichever story you prefer, it will remain a story of love and two people who found each other in what seemed an unlikely scenario. Our relationship began to grow through meaningful phone and text conversations getting to know one another better, while Brett was away in North Dakota for a period of time for work. Upon his return, the two of us were anxious to meet each other and quickly set up a date. Brett used a smooth line that went something like, “Do you like food? Because I like food. And if you want, we could get food together?” Not an exact quote, but something very similar ;) When we met for dinner, our connection continued on without a hitch. Conversation was flowing without forced talking to fill in spaces. No effort needed. Just an ease of finally meeting in person and taking it all in. From there we couldn’t get enough of each other. More dates followed as frequently as possible, endless conversation continued while we were apart, “like” turned into “love” and love turned into a desire to one day start a family and grow old together. Everything just well, fell into place. Our love has continued to grow each day and is easy because of the patience and understanding we have with one another, along with everlasting trust and support. It is what we will continue to strive for in our future together. We are thrilled for all of you to join and celebrate our special day with us as we say I do to forever. We can hardly contain ourselves! :) _ _ _ _

On Novermber 15th, 2016 during a Hawaiian vacation with family in Kauai, Brett asked Alisha to marry him while on a beautiful hike of the Kalalau Falls trail. Pictures of the breathtaking views they encountered can be seen in the “Photos” section of this website.
