As many of you know, our story began with two simple text messages — one from my mom, and one from Sarah Warr. Now, if you know my mom, you know she’s not the kind to meddle in my love life. So when her name popped up on my phone with a message about a boy, I was more than a little surprised. I sat with it for a bit, unsure what to do. But something in me said to take a chance — so I did. I told her to send him my number, and waited for a message. Before long, I got a friendly, well-mannered text from him, and what started as a simple conversation soon turned into dinner plans at one of my favorite places, Javis in Tyler, Texas. What I didn’t know at the time was that Avery would be driving all the way from Nacogdoches after working a twelve-hour shift, just to see me. Looking back now, that small act of effort and care perfectly reflects the love he’s shown me ever since — patient, kind, and unwavering. That night, conversation came easy, laughter flowed, and by the end of dinner, it already felt like something special had begun. From that moment on, we’ve been inseparable. Today, I can’t imagine life without him. We’re so excited for the journey ahead — for every high, every challenge, every new chapter — knowing we’ll walk through it all, hand in hand.
