St. Augustine Alligator Farm Zoological Park
We visited this zoo a couple of years ago and it was amazing! They have almost every kind of crocodilian imaginable. Hopefully this will be the closest you get to alligators when you visit Florida! The zoo also offers a variety of activities like meeting animal ambassadors or zipline through the zoo.
Flagler College
We strongly recommend taking a tour through Flagler College. Currently, it's a university, but it used to be a luxury hotel built in 1888. The architecture is stunning and you will feel like you've been transported back in time. Historic Tours of Flagler College highlights the architectural heritage of the former Hotel Ponce de Leon, listed as a National Historic Landmark. Built by railroad magnate, Henry M. Flagler, the Ponce is considered one of the finest examples of Spanish Renaissance architecture and was one of the most exclusive resorts of its day. Tours daily at 10 am and 2 pm. Ponce de Leon's Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park
The Fountain of Youth in St. Augustine is legendary, known as the place where Ponce De Leon discovered the healing waters that magically maintain your youthful appearance. Drink from the magical spring’s waters, plus explore many exhibits and historical attractions at the 15-acre Fountain of Youth Archaeological Park. The park is home to a Discovery Globe, Planetarium, Timucua Indian Exhibit, Spanish cannons, and Native Christian Burial Ground Exhibit.
Villa Zorayda Museum
Explore a 19th-Century architectural masterpiece and its astounding art and antique collection, while learning of the Villa's 138-year history. In 1883, Franklin W. Smith built his winter home in the heart of downtown St. Augustine. He utilized architectural details from the Alhambra Palace in Granada, Spain to bring part of Spain to Spanish St. Augustine. View hand carved exquisite inlaid furniture, hand-pierced brass lamps, beautiful oriental rugs and the magnificent Arabesque traceries on the walls made of crushed alabaster and plaster exact replicas from the Alhambra. Continuous audio guided tours in English and French are available.
