Aline and Joseph met in March of 2017 through a shared friend. Both were attending university in Cape Girardeau, and met during a study session arranged by this special acquaintance (Thanks, Ingrid). They quickly grew fond of each other and went on their first date in September, visiting model replicas of the famous ships Nina and Pinta, which were docked in the Mississippi River. Many dates were to follow, and with them, a genuine and loving relationship would bloom.
Joseph had decided many months prior that he would marry Aline, and spent that time planning on the perfect proposal. A ring was chosen with the approval of his loved ones, and the date was chosen - October 10 (the day they consider to be when their relationship officially began). The theme was inspired from Aline's favorite Disney princess movie, Tangled. Joseph took Aline to the Mississippi River (where they went on their first date) and lit floating lanterns. Joseph then proposed to Aline, and was happy to receive a yes. However, the groom would later regret being so nervous about the proposal. He fumbled through the entire thing and got the timing wrong. Still, he got what he was looking for that night - a fiancée.
The wedding is planned to be hosted at the Celebrations venue in Cape Girardeau. The bride and groom hope to see their most valued loved ones at the ceremony as they commit to an everlasting bond through love, family, and friendship.
