A family-owned and operated seafood restaurant serving fresh crab and rockfish caught daily in the Chesapeake Bay. While we haven't had a chance to try this restaurant ourselves, we've been told that it's a great place to experience local Maryland seafood at a hole-in-the-wall. It's also very close to the welcome party venue!
This is the location of the welcome party - can't get any closer than that! Serving American fare with an international twist, they source ingredients from local farms or their on-site garden. We love the crab balls and hush puppies--Southern Maryland classics!
Those staying at the hotel in Lexington Park have plenty of restaurants to choose from!
This state park at the southern tip of the peninsula has a light house and a number of points of interest from the Civil War.
St. Mary's was the first European settlement in Maryland, and the 4th British settlement in America.
We haven't been here ourselves, but if you want to access full dad-mode, we recommend giving the Naval Air Museum a try - it's very close to the hotel in Lexington Park.
