Kwik Trip (our favorite gas station chain)

If you're traveling through Wisconsin for the first time, we recommend making a pit stop at Kwik Trip — the Midwest's beloved, Wisconsin-founded gas station. The oldest Kwik Trip opened on June 16, 1965, in Eau Claire, Wisconsin, which started the popular convenience store chain that is still family-owned and based in La Crosse. Alina and Sydney's go-to is to get a Best Buddy-sized Diet Dr. Pepper from the soda foundation with a generous squirt of the cherry syrup. If Alina has the opportunity, she'll sneak in some of the vanilla syrup as well.
