Our story started in the summer of 2021 at our favorite place, Miracle Bible Camp! We quickly became friends while attending Base camp, and enjoyed our time together over the next couple years. In the summer of 2024, when we both made it back to camp once again, we hit it off! After some very late calls, we promptly made plans to have Gage come up and spend the fourth of July with Alina and her entire family! While he was in International Falls, we enjoyed the lakes, family time, food, fireworks, and more. On the fourth of July, Gage asked Papa Matt if he could marry Alina, to which he said, "No, you guys should date first." We then spent the rest of the summer visiting as much as possible and were long-distance until the end of March in 2025. At a winter retreat at Miracle Bible Camp, with Alina fighting tonsillitis, Gage insisted on a walk around camp in -30 degree weather, and got down on one knee, and Alina said "Yes!"
