FAQs

Question

Am I allowed a plus one?

Answer

Yes! We want everyone to have a good time and feel comfortable, but please let us know ahead of time so we can have an accurate count of guests.

Question

Will there be alcohol?

Answer

No. Gabe and I do not drink and will not be providing alcohol for guests. We also ask that no one brings their own alcohol to any of the wedding events, or arrives tipsy or drunk. We know that not everyone agrees with this decision, but we are super grateful for our guests respecting our wishes on our special day. Thank you!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Of course! We don't want the lack of a babysitter to be the reason that you aren't able to attend the wedding.

Question

What is the dress code?

Answer

Classy casual or church attire. We are also grateful to use the Temple grounds and the LDS church building for our events, so please dress modestly to show respect. Thank you again for understanding!

Question

How long should I stay in Hawaii if I am travelling?

Answer

We are so excited, and beyond grateful, to have family and friends fly all the way out for our special day!! On 3/2/24 we will be having a full wedding day, including the temple sealing, civil ring ceremony and reception. However, we will also be doing our bridal shower and bachelor parties a few days before the wedding for those that are invited to those events (most likely 2/28 or 2/29 - still tentative). We understand that tickets can get expensive, but anyone is more than welcome to extend their trip before or after the wedding to take advantage of coming to Hawaii! Gabe and I will be going on our honeymoon on 3/10/24.

Question

Where should I stay if I am travelling?

Answer

It is totally up to you. Gabe and I live in Honolulu, so if you plan on coming to our house a lot then I would say Waikiki, or at least around that area, would be great. We will also be having the temple sealing on the North Shore in Laie, which is about an hour drive from Honolulu, so you can also stay there if you plan on spending a lot of time on the North Shore. Later in the day, we will be driving back to town toward Kahala Mall for the reception, so you can also stay on that side of town if you want. There are a lot of beautiful beaches and resorts on the West side of the island as well, however, I wouldn't recommend staying on that side since it is also about an hour drive from town and traffic can be bad coming from that side. It would probably be better to set aside a day to go out to the west side instead. If you have any other questions, please feel free to ask me before you book anything. :)

Question

What should I do if I can't make it?

Answer

You will be missed! If you can't make it to the wedding, please let us know as soon as possible and RSVP “no,” so we can plan accordingly.

Question

Can I take and post pictures of the wedding on social media?

Answer

Yes! Please do and make sure to tag Alina or Gabe in the post so that we can keep the memories as well!

For all the days along the way
