The Wedding Website of Kyle DeSousa and Alicia Bedell
Question

What took you so long?

Answer

We've been swept up in the whirlwind of life, busy making memories and cherishing every moment. From adventurous vacations to exciting car shows, or winning Jamaican patty eating contests, time flies when you're having fun! And now, as if in the blink of an eye, 17 years have passed us by. Amidst it all, one thing remained crystal clear - our unwavering choice in each other. What matters most is that we're here now, ready to start our next exciting chapter together!

Question

Where will the ceremony and reception take place?

Answer

We're thrilled to announce that our entire wedding celebration will take place aboard the magnificent Yankee Lady IV yacht, set against the stunning backdrop of downtown Toronto and the picturesque waters of Toronto Harbour. As we sail through the enchanting Toronto Island Lagoons, guests will be treated to breathtaking views and unforgettable moments. The Yankee Lady IV dock is conveniently located at 539 Queens Quay West, nestled just East of the intersection at Queens Quay West and Dan Leckie Way.

Question

What time should we arrive?

Answer

Attention all passengers! Boarding starts at 6pm and closes at 6:20pm. The Yankee Lady IV sets sail at 6:30pm SHARP, so make sure your sea legs are ready! If you're driving, arrive early to secure that perfect parking spot – we wouldn't want you to miss the boat because you were stuck in a parking shuffle. Find more information on parking below.

Question

When should I RSVP?

Answer

Kindly RSVP as soon as possible via the RSVP section of the website. Enter your name and you can also respond for additional people in your party. Please confirm by July 10th.

Question

Where can I park?

Answer

Okay, this is the part where it gets a little sketchy. Here's the deal. It's a Saturday afternoon in the middle of summer, in a busy tourist area, and there's a Jays game starting at 3pm, so it'll be a slightly competitive parking situation. But don't panic, we've navigated through the stormy seas of downtown parking to bring you some solid options. Please come early to allow plenty of time for parking, aim to arrive in the area around 5:45pm. Here's your treasure map of local parking within a 5-10(ish) minute walk, in order of proximity: 1. Green P Lot 302 @ the northeast corner of Bathurst and Queens Quay 2. Precise ParkLink P1 Express Park @ 9 Eireann Quay 3. ***THIS IS PROBABLY THE BEST OPTION, RESERVE A SPOT*** Precise ParkLink P2 Daily Park @ 9 Stadium Rd. You can reserve spots online for a VIP parking experience at: https://booking.stolport.com/BillyBishopBooking/ 4. Public Parking (Underground) @ 33 Stadium Rd 5. FREE street parking on Stadium Rd and Little Norway Cres, but good luck finding a spot 6. For the adventurous souls, various other local parking lots are waiting to be discovered. Consult the all-knowing Google Maps by searching "parking near Yankee Lady IV dock" or go to: https://www.google.com/maps/search/parking+near+yankee+lady+iv+dock/ You may also consider parking elsewhere and embarking on a journey via taxi, rideshare, or public transit. But wait, there's more! For guests seeking an even more VIP experience, we offer a luxurious drop-off area right at the Yankee Lady IV dock, located at 539 Queens Quay W. This location can only be accessed while traveling eastbound on Queens Quay from Bathurst St or Dan Leckie Way, you can't turn left when traveling westbound. Just steer clear of pedestrians while crossing the busy sidewalk and bike paths. Please be aware that this location is for drop-offs only - you can't park here. *Kyle is a self-proclaimed downtown parking expert, so please reach out with any questions.

Question

What happens if I miss the boat?

Answer

Hope you can swim! Seriously though, don't be late. But if you still manage to be late, water taxis are available. However, it'll cost you, probably about $100 or more and it'll be a whole thing. Don't be "that guy"!

Question

What should I wear?

Answer

Not necessarily "𝑓𝑎𝑎𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑦", but it's a wedding. On a yacht. So this is the time to show up and show off, with your style and awesome vibes! Ladies: Keep it comfy, flowy, and elegant. Ready for a hot day and a chill night, on deck and on the dance floor. Layer up with light fabrics to stay fresh as the evening cools down. Add a pop of sparkle with some fancy jewelry. And remember to stay comfy while looking fabulous. Gentlemen: Looking, smelling, feeling like a million bucks. We want you to show up looking so fresh you just might get asked to take over as captain of the ship. Throw on your captain hat, boat shoes, whatever, you know the vibes. Bonus points for mixing it up with a nautical twist.

Question

Is the yacht accessible for all guests?

Answer

Yes, mostly! The yacht is outfitted with smooth ramps for seamless boarding and wide, illuminated staircases complete with handrails on the interior. Our festivities will kick off with a ceremony on the top 3rd-floor deck, which will require navigating a couple sets of stairs. Following the ceremony, we'll descend to the lower levels for the rest of the evening. Rest assured, the Yankee Lady IV's attentive crew will be readily available to assist at any point if needed. We sincerely hope everyone can join us!

Question

Will there be accommodations for guests with dietary restrictions?

Answer

Yes. We will be serving up a buffet with lots of options, so there should be plenty for everyone to enjoy! Keto, vegan, whatever, we got you! If you have any specific requests, just let us know and we'll do our best to accommodate.

Question

Can guests explore the yacht during the event?

Answer

Yes, guests are welcome to explore different areas of the yacht throughout the event, including the various decks and levels. However, we kindly ask that everyone respects designated areas and follows crew instructions for safety protocols.

Question

Are the washrooms on board?

Answer

The Yankee Lady IV is fully decked out with separate men's and women's bathrooms, complete with multiple stalls, sinks, and large, wide mirrors where you can double-check to make sure you still look like a million bucks or strike a pose and practice for your guestbook selfies! Located on the lower level of the vessel, simply follow the glow of the illuminated staircase.

Question

Is there a smoking area on the Yankee Lady IV?

Answer

Totally! Post-ceremony, the top deck transforms into the smoking zone. Before that, catch your last puff pre-boarding. And remember, the rest of the ship is all about those cool, smoke-free vibes.
