Warren (Duke) and I first crossed paths in the Washington D.C nightlife in December of 2019 at a well-known event space called Big Chief during their R&B night. We laughed and joked the entire night as if we were the best of friends, but when the night came to an end, we went our separate ways without exchanging numbers (Crazy right? lol). A couple months later in February of 2020, we crossed paths again at a lounge called Lost Society. We locked eyes with one another immediately. I felt as if I knew him but couldn’t quite place where we met before. Not too soon after, Warren approached me and sparked a conversation. He remembered everything about me from our first encounter, like who I was with, what we joked about, and even what I wore that night. I was impressed. We exchanged numbers and talked until the early morning, continuing to joke and laugh about the first time we met and now 3 years later, we continue to reminisce about how our love story began.

It would have to be our trip to NYC. This was both of our first ‘baecations’. Even though it was the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic and most things were closed or had endless restrictions, Duke made the city seem as romantic as it is in the movies. And if you know us, you know we ate at every restaurant possible.

Trick question, lol! Since we've been together, we have never eaten at the same place twice. (Outside of our spontaneous road trips to Zaxbys). Alicia is a huge foodie and Duke loves adventure.
