FAQs

If you have questions about travel arrangements, please contact Vacationeeze Travel Agency. If you have any other questions that are not answered in the FAQa please feel free to reach out to Alicia or Sandeep.
Question

Can I book my room on my own or do I have to go through your travel agent?

Answer

You can book your room on your own, however, we have worked with Vacationeeze Travel Agency, who negotiated a discounted room block for the wedding significantly less than booking online. (We looked at booking rooms online to see the difference between Vacationeeze's rate and the Hard Rock's online rate and Vacationeeze's room rate was about $400 dollars cheaper.) Our wedding rate also includes transportation to and from the airport for your convenience.

Question

Can I stay at a different hotel in Cancun and still come to the wedding?

Answer

Unfortunately, there are no day passes that allow for outside guests to attend the wedding.

Question

What if I have questions about the events and ceremonies once we get to the hotel?

Answer

Look for the short, curly, purple-haired, bossy girl drinking a Coca Cola named Tarrah. She will know the schedule and will absolutely make sure you are in the right place at the right time.

Question

What if we want to come earlier than 2/18/2026 or stay later than 2/22/2026?

Answer

We would love to have you! We plan to arrive in Mexico on Monday (2/16/2026) and stay through Wednesday (2/25/2026). Please work with the Vacationeeze Travel Agency to ensure you receive the room-block rate for any additional days you want to stay.

Question

How will I get to the hotel from the airport?

Answer

Transportation is included in your reservation with Vacationeeze. You will provide them with your airfare information if you book your flight on your own and they will arrange transportation to and from the airport for you.

Question

Can I bring a plus one?

Answer

You can bring as many people as you want as long as you rsvp they are attending and they love to dance to 30 minute Tweezer jams.

Question

I don't really know anyone else attending, is there anyone I can hangout with while I'm there?

Answer

Absolutely! Find Crystal and you will have a friend for life!

Question

Can I bring my kids?

Answer

Yes! We know this is a vacation for most of us and if you want to bring your munchkins along we would love to have them celebrate with us. The Hardrock has activities for kids including a water park and offers discounted rates for their stay! Check with the Vacationeeze team on offers.

Question

Will there be a babysitter provided for my kids?

Answer

Unfortunately, we are not providing childcare for the ceremony or reception, but we would love to have the kids attend the wedding events. The hotel also offers nanny services for a fee if you would like to have some adult time. Alicia also knows a few college students that might want to earn a little cash while at their mother's wedding.

Question

Are all the events and activities at the resort or will we be going into Cancun?

Answer

All wedding events will take place at the resort. Since this is an all-inclusive resort there will be activities, multiple restaurants, beaches, and pools to enjoy, but you are also welcome to explore the city.

Question

What if Phish plays the same weekend at Moon Palace as your wedding?

Answer

We will be sneaking out of our ceremony and will leave understudies in our place and hope you will do the same.

Question

What will the weather be like in February in Mexico? Warmer than Indiana and New York?

Answer

Yes, the average high temperatures are around 82°F (28°C) and average low temperatures are around 68°F (20°C). February is one of the driest months of the year in Cancun, so hopefully it’s sunny skies the entire time. The ocean temperature is around 78.8°F (26°C), which is comfortable for swimming.

Question

How do I know if the lights I am seeing in the Mexican sky are stars or planets?

Answer

Find the tall, ginger, TJ and ask him.

Question

Will the ceremonies be outside?

Answer

We plan to have the ceremonies outside, however, if there is rain we will have a backup plan.

Question

What happens if I get lost and cannot find my room at the resort?

Answer

Look for Tracy and ask her to assist you in getting to your room. She will not be able to find her own room, but will always get you back to your room safe and sound.

Question

I'd like to request a song for the reception, is there someone I can talk to about this?

Answer

Sure, find Jamie and Steve, they'll know what to do and are in charge of approving all song requests.

Question

What is the dress code for all the events?

Answer

We want you to be comfortable at all of our events, so there is no specific dress code. We will have a Mehndi and Hindu ceremony where you can wear traditional Indian attire, but you are not required to if you attend the events. If you want to wear traditional Indian attire and need help with this please contact Alicia. For the civil ceremony think beach chic. Colorful, flowy sundresses, linen suits or pants, and a button-up shirt. Remember we will be walking on sand and dancing afterward, so make sure you have appropriate footwear.

Question

Who can I ask if my outfit is appropriate for an event?

Answer

Charlotte will be more than happy to let you know if you are appropriately dressed and if your outfit matches, so find the tall, blonde girl she is here to help!

Question

Will there be appetizers at the cocktail hour and dinner at the reception?

Answer

Yes, if you know us you know we love to eat. (Since we will be at an all-inclusive resort we will have plenty of food at all the wedding events!)

Question

What if I have a dietary requirement such as gluten free, vegetarian, or dairy free?

Answer

Please let us know and we will work with the resort to ensure accommodations are made during our events. We also highly recommend letting the travel agent know so they can convey this information to the resort.

Question

I brought extra candy that we aren't going to take back home. What do I do with it?

Answer

Find Chathan and he will take care of this for you especially Hi-Chews and anything chocolate.

Question

Am I invited to the rehearsal dinner since I will be at the wedding?

Answer

We are not hosting a formal rehearsal dinner. Instead, we will have a Welcome Reception & Dinner following the Mehandi ceremony and you are all invited to both!

Question

What if I only drink Diet Coke? Will the resort have that?

Answer

Unfortunately, most countries drink Coca-Cola Lite or Coke zero, so Alicia will pack a suitcase full of Diet Coke for herself. So, plan accordingly.

Question

I've never stayed at an all-inclusive. Is everything really included?

Answer

Your room, food, drinks, and some hotel activities are included in your stay. We recommend bringing $1's and $5's to tip servers, bartenders, and drivers. Additionally, excursions and spa treatments are not included in your stay cost, however, rooms may come with a resort credit that can be used toward these activities. You can ask your Vacationeeze travel agent about this.

Question

Are there animals at the resort? How will I know if an animal I see at the resort is poisonous or if an iguana will bite me?

Answer

Find Graham Bam and he will know!

Question

What happens if I need legal services while attending the wedding festivities?

Answer

While we hope to have a few attorney friends attend we want them to enjoy their time away celebrating with us. So, we suggest you contact your local legal counsel before leaving the country and notify them of your whereabouts.

Question

I missed the Super Bowl. Is there anyone who can give me a detailed rundown of the game?

Answer

Suneel will have all the details of the game and would love nothing more than to share them with you.

Question

Should I bring a gift to your destination wedding?

Answer

You coming to our wedding is our gift! Please do not feel as if you must get us a gift, however, if you wish to do something extra we would love for you to donate to the Divide Sky Foundation. The Divided Sky Foundation is a nonprofit organization that offers an affordable next step in the recovery process for those ready to address their addiction. Your generosity supports scholarships and other essential services. https://dividedsky.org/donate

Question

What about my bank and credit cards? Should I tell them I will be in Mexico?

Answer

Absolutely. Most banks and credit cards allow individuals to use their services while traveling abroad, but if you have not left the country in a while or ever we highly recommend doing this prior to leaving.

Question

Can I use my phone in Mexico?

Answer

You should contact your phone company to see what the policy is when traveling out of the country. If you forget to do this you can also turn your phone on airplane mode and just use wifi. Or find one of the Reedlings and just use their phone because their mom, Alicia, pays for their phone plans.
