We're getting married!

The story starts about 8 years ago. Ryan and Alicia were both attending UC Davis. Alicia had a close group of friends that she met her freshman year. During their 4th year, a couple of Alicia's friends had taken a Materials Science course and met and befriended Ryan. One evening, Alicia and her friends decided to take a study break and go out to eat Korean barbecue. As luck would have it, Ryan was also free that night and joined the group for dinner. They all decided to carpool and took Ryan's blue Infiniti G35 for a ride. Despite being in the same car (and despite meeting for the first time), Ryan and Alicia only had the chance to talk for a couple of minutes. After that night, Ryan started to hang around the friend group more often. During the summer, the group went on a trip to Santa Cruz to celebrate a birthday. Ryan was working in the Bay Area that summer, so the group stopped at the Stoneridge Mall to pick him up. The trip to Santa Cruz allowed Ryan and Alicia to get to know each other better. They even went on the Sky Glider together. After that night, they started texting each other and talking more often. A few weeks later, Ryan asked Alicia out on a date, and she happily accepted. They went to a Japanese restaurant in Davis, and talked and laughed the whole night. By the end of the night, it was clear that they both liked one another. After that night, Ryan and Alicia went on three more dates before making their relationship official. Since then, Ryan and Alicia have gone through many milestones together - from graduating UC Davis together, to doing a long distance relationship, to moving in together during Covid, and so much more. But the biggest milestone to date was on August 3rd, 2024. Ryan and Alicia took a weekend trip from Los Angeles to Davis to attend a friend's award ceremony (or so Alicia thought!). Ryan and Alicia decided to take a walk on campus through the arboretum. At the arboretum, Ryan got down on one knee and asked Alicia if she would marry him! Alicia said yes and Ryan put a custom made engagement ring on her hand.
