Alicia was the new girl to Oscar's High school. As many would find out, her love for dance got her a spot on Varsity dance line. Oscar was on Varsity Basketball. The dance line and basketball team grew close and so did Oscar and Alicia. After many nights talking on the phone, having group discussions in his backyard, and attending each other's games and performances; Oscar asked out Alicia on February, 14th 2011.
On February 29th, 2012 Oscar, Alicia, and three of their friends decided to go on a hike up White Tank Mountains before school. As they neared the top, Alicia, being the picture-ready girl that she was, decided she wanted to take a picture on top of a boulder. She gave the camera to Oscar, who was ten feet below, climbed back up, then hopped on the boulder. What was not known to the five of them, was that it had rained the night before. Since Arizona is dry, it did not seem any fixture could be loose. As Alicia put her right leg on the boulder, it began to slide out from its place and quickly took Alicia under it, knocking their friends to the side and carrying her away. As Oscar was below he was able stop it, but not before being knocked into another boulder. They were stuck on that Mountain for over two hours, injured, and waiting to be rescued. That was one of the times, Oscar truly saved Alicia and their love grew stronger.
Oscar and Alicia graduated college in December of 2016. After four years in Montana and many challenges, they were excited to be back home in Arizona with their family. On August 5th of 2017, Oscar took Alicia hiking in Sedona to find Devil's Bridge. Alicia was not very happy at first to spend her day-off, hiking. Although she complained the whole way up, and took many stops, she was in awe with how beautiful the bridge was. Oscar handed his camera to a stranger, they posed, and posed, then he said "Let's do one more pose", Alicia was confused because Oscar had never been one to be eager for pictures. She turned around and he was on his knee.
