Travel Notes
Our wedding venue is in Tyro, Virginia, about 45 minutes outside of Charlottesville. We will be providing transportation from Charlottesville to the wedding, so we recommend that most of our guests travel to and stay in Charlottesville. We have reserved room blocks at two local hotels and have listed contact information for additional housing options you may wish to consider. We do encourage guests to reserve rooms as soon as possible, as this is a very busy season for Charlottesville travelers and hotel rates can be quite high.
Flight
Charlottesville International Airport
Charlottesville International Airport is located right in town and usually has connecting flights through Charlotte, Atlanta, New York, Philadelphia, and Chicago. If you wish to travel through another airport, Washington Dulles is about a two hour drive, and Richmond is a one hour drive from Charlottesville.

Wintergreen Resort is located in the mountains of Nelson County, Virginia, closer to the wedding venue. The resort has condos and houses for rent that will accommodate groups of varying sizes. This is where we plan to host our rehearsal dinner. Guests staying at Wintergreen will need to provide their own transportation to and from the wedding venue.
