Well, I remember sitting at home after a long drive from my then job in Norwood. I lived in the basement apt of my mother's house, how attractive. I was drinking a beer and watching the debate with Obama and Romney. I was just surfing the newly downloaded app POF (Plenty of Fish), a dating app. I had never been online dating, it was fairly new at this point so it wasn't just about hook ups. I came across this bright picture of a girl with red, white and blue background and beautiful blue/green eyes that caught my attention right away. And her name OH MY what is in a name they say. I send a wave, hi how are you? *PING I can't believe she answered. We went back and forth a bit then she wanted to talk on the phone, actually hear my voice. As I paced back and forth reaching for another drink, she calls but I don't answer. I was nervous and had to keep her curious. She leaves me a voicemail, and I listen. I am caught, she knows that I am pacing and suggests that I just wanted her to leave a voicemail to hear her voice before I made my decision to answer. Clever, very charming she is. I couldn't not answer after that. We talked for HOURS, I fell asleep to her playing the guitar. How does your heart not melt! We were texting non-stop after that. Finished the week with a date to a steak house with an amazing waitress who we still see to this day. I never thought I would meet someone so grand, amazing, honest and loyal as my Lacey. I thank my lucky stars everyday for giving me this daily gift. Love you always & forever Alicia xoxo
