We met in 2017 during our freshman year at UW-River Falls. There was a bar that hosted (18+) night on Thursdays with dancing/music and we both went with our own friend groups. The whole dance floor was packed and from complete opposite sides of the room we managed to lock eyes on each other. (Your classic scene from a cheesy movie). We slowly made our way over to each other through the crowd and danced together the rest of that night. 2 weeks later we were dating, and 7 years later he’s still my favorite dancing partner

Alicia and I have always shared a love for Halloween and all things fall. We were living in Burnsville at the time and the Minnesota Zoo was hosting their annual Jack-o-lantern Festival. We bought tickets for a random Wednesday night at 7pm. Some of our friends joined us and we walked through thousands of pumpkins as it rained. I was so nervous! We finally got to just the right patch of pumpkins and I suggested we get some pics. I dropped to one knee, my knee sinking into the mud (did I mention it was RAINING?!) and stumbled my way through asking my best friend to marry me. We were so excited and called our families on the way home. We can’t wait to have you spend our big day with us!
