Connor and Alicia met on March 9, 2018. After discovering each other through a dating app, Connor and Alicia learned that they had already shared many life experiences - without even knowing it! Connor and Alicia attended the same high school, marching band, college, and university major courses. Connor asked Alicia to be his girlfriend a few weeks later on March 20, 2018. Connor and Alicia share a love of nature and adventure. Alicia realized she loved Connor during a volunteering date for the Wildlands Restoration Center. Connor and Alicia went on their first camping trip together to Colorado Springs during the summer of 2018. Since their first trip together, Connor and Alicia have been on many trips, ranging from a Caribbean Cruise and Disney World to Grand Teton National Park. Connor and Alicia fondly refer to each other as “adventure buddies.” Connor and Alicia have a passion for their hometown of Fort Collins, Colorado. Connor first shared his love for Alicia during the summer of 2019 during one of their date nights around town. In the spring of 2020, Connor purchased what would later become the couple’s first home together in the neighborhood he grew up. Alicia developed a passion for home renovation through Connor’s skill and expertise. Together, they created a home they love. When they’re not “adventuring," Connor and Alicia enjoy walks together on the Spring Creek Trail, swimming in the neighborhood pool, bonding over Marvel movies, and playing with their two cats whom they adopted together, Sunny and Nova. Connor proposed to Alicia during her graduation trip on May 17, 2022. Alicia had just graduated with a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and was gifted the opportunity to celebrate on a cruise to Catalina Island and Baja, Mexico by her parents. On the day of the proposal, Connor and Alicia hiked to the beautiful Catalina Botanical Gardens and explored the seaside town of Avalon. Connor proposed that night after dinner next to the picturesque ocean waves of Catalina Island. Connor and Alicia celebrated their engagement later that week with a visit to Disneyland, where her father Greg Guler had intended to propose to her mother Kathy 28 years earlier. Connor and Alicia are thrilled to celebrate their next great adventure with their family and friends on September 3, 2023.
