Question

How to get to White Sands National Park for the ceremony?

Answer

The ceremony will be at the Group Use Area at White Sands National Park, about 50 minutes northeast of Las Cruces, NM. We put together a PDF with directions and notes for those of you driving, access it here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1LbTAOveSXcJ9C1cVned4r6imUoXnWjyS/view?usp=sharing If you'd prefer an emailed copy, ask!! Note that there is a border patrol check point right before you reach the park! They will just confirm you are an American citizen, and you'll drive right through - it is actually quite exhilarating your first time! Please plan accordingly and have a designated driver.

Question

What will the weather be like?

Answer

The weather in southern New Mexico during the winter is beautiful! In Las Cruces and Old Town Mesilla, it will likely be sunny with highs in the mid-50s and lows in the 30s. At White Sands National Park, it will likely be a little cooler, especially in the evening for the outdoor ceremony. Refer to the WSNP website for more info: https://www.nps.gov/whsa/planyourvisit/weather.htm

Question

What should i wear?

Answer

We advise having warm layers for the ceremony, but to dress within the range of winter semi-formal. We do not have a "wedding party" but plan to get pictures with everyone, so we suggest matching the color theme highlighted at the top of this page!

Question

Why isn't my child listed for RSVP?

Answer

If your child is less than 5 years old, we did not include them on the RSVP. Entire families are invited!
