Rent a car OR rely on Uber
The island is small -- you can get anywhere in an uber if you stay within the metropolitan area of San Juan. Rent a car for the convenience, if you choose to stay a bit farther away, or if you plan on doing some sightseeing. I suggest coming to the wedding by Uber since there won't be much parking.
